Quick Tricks To Help You look Fresh and Not Tired !

Days when we are tired as hell or just after a night of partying, we realize today we have that important meeting or event to go to ! So now we look like we have just walked out of a zombie apocalypse. Just kidding, but we look like all the blood is drained from our bodies, on a day when we need to look our best !

Worry not ! 25 and something is here at your rescue. Just follow these simple steps, and I promise you that there shall be only compliments coming your way for the rest of the day.

1. Fruity Facewash to the Rescue

Using a facewash that you absolutely love, with a fruity fragrance does work in making you feel fresh.  Lakme Clean-up Nourishing Glow Face Wash ,washes away all visible dirt and impurities and it makes your skin feel tingling fresh and glowing.

2. Ice Ice Baby.

Take two ice cubes and wrap it in a piece of clean cloth. Once it starts melting massage it on your face in circular motions. Applying ice is an instant way to give your face a fresh and dewy look without wearing any makeup. It helps minimize open pores, reduce redness and swelling, also decrease the appearance of under eye bags. Applying ice improves blood circulation and also prevents premature aging and wrinkles. Once your done, take a tissue paper and just pat your skin dry. This will make your skin appear smoother and help your makeup set well.

3. The Cold Spoon Technique

A frozen metal spoon can also be used to reduce puffiness around the eyes. After you have left a spoon in the freezer for 15 minutes, place it against your eyes. Leave the spoon there until it is warm again. Another effective way to reduce the appearance of dark circles is to apply cold tea bags to your eyes in the similar matter.

4. Fresh as a Flower with Face Mist

You might mistakenly think that it is just mineral water or spring water that these women spray on when they whip out those dainty bottles from their purses.
A face spray is water, yes, but there is so much more to it. This water contains herb extracts and other natural pick-me-up ingredients that help you all through the day. You can use a face mist on dry, dehydrated skin or even oily skin.
pray a little mist on your face and gently pat it with a tissue paper after a few seconds. This prevents the mist from evaporating, leaving your face supple and moist. Also a fine spray on the face at the end of the day can have a positive effect on your mood. You can carry around the Avene Thermal Spring Water  and spray it on for a glowing fresh skin.

5. Tie Up your Beautiful Bangs in a High Pony Tail or Top Knot

When you tie your hair up in a hair pony tail or a top knot/ messy bun, the skin around your eyes is pulled back. This makes you look awake and fresh. Our eyes tend to appear more droopy when we are tired, this is one simple trick to get a lifted look without contouring.

6. Open Up those Dove Eyes.

Curling your eyelashes opens up the eyes and makes them appear larger! Whether your lashes are naturally straight or have flattened out over time, curling your eyelashes can really help your eyes stand out. Position lash curler so that you are close to the base of the lashes and gently squeeze. Then release, move out half way and gently squeeze again. The point is to achieve a natural curl instead of a bent lash. You can follow with Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies Mascara - Waterproof for the long lasting look.

7. White Eyeliner Pencil

Another great way to open up your eyes to apply Lakme Eyeconic Kajal - White under-eye, close to your water line. It might look a bit stark as it is white, but then white eyeliner is known to make eyes look bigger, and this one does that properly. It comes off quite opaque white in a single swipe itself, and because it has slight shimmer, it can also be used as a highlighter mainly for brow bone, cupid’s bow and inner corner highlight. It actually works great in that way as once blended, it gives a slight sheen and looks very natural.

8. Get Those Kiss Ready Pink Lips

Best way to look fresh is to add a little pop of colour to your lips. Apply a dash of Maybelline New York Baby Lips Electro, Pink Shock lip balm to your lips and notice the change instantly. Your lips will be looking healthy and pink.

9. Lip and Cheek Satin

After the lips, adding a little colour to your cheeks will quickly make you look more alive.
Just apply a small amount of The Body Shop Lip and Cheek Satin across your cheekbones and blend it out. If you want, skip the lip balm step and use the satin on your lips as well as the cheeks.

10. Concealer those Bad Boys Under Eye

This step is completely optional. If you do have really prominent dark circles and cannot go out without covering them, then this last step is for you. Just apply a pea size amount of the Maybelline New York Fit Me Concealer and blend it out well until you are satisfied with the result. Applying only a single, light coat of the concealer will help you cover the under eye dark circles and help you look less tired.

Pro Tip: If you are in a hurry and got no time to apply and set your concealer, go in for a pair for spectacles. The frame around your eyes will help divert the attention from your dark circles.

The first structure that was built in place of the current building was called ‘Castle of Love’. Although the roots of this building are obscure, this castle has been said to be made out of a nobleman’s beautiful honeymoon experience at the same spot. Starting in 1632 it took 17 years for the completion for great monument of love. It is estimated that over 22000 worked for construction of Taj Mahal including labourers, painters, stone cutters and artists. The persian and mughal architecture are used to built Taj Mahal. The monument is listed within world heritage sites and also, on seven wonders of the world.

A romantic man once said ‘Some love stories have no words, Only heartbeats.’ In the case of the epic romances in our blog, these love stories have been immortalized in brick and mortar.
Love in its truest form is often hard to express. Indeed, it might be that it’s one human emotion that cannot be transferred in its entirely for the simple reason that it’s inexhaustible. But humans always have the tendency to go after the impossible, to toil for ages in the hope of coming up with the perfect expression of love. These monuments built for love stands as reminders of the power of the vaguest, and the yet the strongest, of all human emotions.

How to make your Skin look like it is wearing an Instagram filter !

Alrighty, so after travelling and some wedding inspiration, how can we forget the Skin !
You would obviously want to be having a great skin for all those selfies and good looking candid pictures.
All of us want a healthy, glowing and clear skin. Well, sorry to break it to you ladies, but the perfect skin does take some work.

So, regardless if you are a bride-to-be or no, these skin care tips will help help you get the skin that you have dreamed of.

1. The Magical Drink called WATER !

Yes Ladies ! Water is indeed magical. Keeping yourself hydrated and drinking plenty of water (4-5 liters) daily will give you a clear and radiant skin.
Drinking a glass of warm water every morning is a great way to detox. So, when your mum yelled at you for not drinking enough water in the day, you should have listened to her !

2. Eat your Greens.

Well I know for most of us either we dislike eating veggies or just can't find the time too. However, the sad part is the more unhealthy food we eat, the more breakouts we face. Including fresh veggies and fruits in your daily diet will give you a fresh looking skin. So starting today let's try and eat healthier !

3. Moisturize.

Nykaa.com
As much I would emphasize on the importance of moisturizing your skin, it will still not be enough.
I personally love the Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser.
Water will help you feel hydrated from and give you that inner glow, however, it is equally important to replenish your skin from the outside as well. And, please do not think that if you have an oily skin or an combination skin you will not need to apply moisturizer ! Apply a moisturizer after shower and once more during the day whenever you feel the need for it.

4. Make Sunscreen your Best friend !

Nykaa.com

Lather on that sunblock regardless if the sun is shinning bright or no on any given day. The sun rays do damage your skin even if they not harsh on a particular day, when you think of skipping on the sunscreen. I use the Lotus Herbals Safe Sun UV Screen Matte Gel, it works great for oily skin types like mine. Always try and buy a travel size tube or bottle so that you can throw in your bag and carry it around. Make sure you re-apply sunscreen in every 2 hours when you step outdoors.

5. Exfoliate and Clean those Pores
Nykaa.com
It really is important that you exfoliate your skin well. Using a scrub at least thrice a week makes sure that all the dust and impurities that clog your pores is removed, giving you a clear skin. I do suffer from horrendous backheads, using Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Scrub every alternate day after facewash has literally vanished my backheads.

6. Night cream and face serum (Pamper your skin every night !)

Night time routine is extremely important if you want that beautiful skin. Skincare products work better during the night when you are sleeping. Because your body is at rest and skin is completely bare.
Nykaa.com
Not many people know that Fabindia skincare products are one of the best and also really affordable. This Fabindia Vitamin E Enriched Night Cream, with vitamin e really gives you a glowing skin the next morning. Regular use makes your skin super soft and glowing. Follow this with a face serum.

Nykaa.com

A face serum is great for uplifting your skin. The Neutrogena Fine Fairness Brightening Serum has a great light weight formula. It is not something that will help lighten your skin shade, but it does brighten your skin. A bright skin with a beautiful glow is what this serum will ensure you.

7. Aloe Vera Gel ! The Natural Face Lifter

Nykaa.com

If you are like me, who does not like the tingling feeling of toners, then aloe vera gel is your answer. Aloe Vera gel works amazingly well as a toner and firmer. Forest Essentials Light Hydrating Facial Gel is my personal pick.

8. Face Masks/ Packs, the final step !

Nykaa.com
We Indians have always known the importance of face packs/masks. We got the world to know the importance of Multani Matti. Forest Essentials Facial Ubtan Multani Matti, is what I use. Just mix it with a little rose water until it a pasty consistency. Once it dries off and starts to pull on your skin, wash it off with water (preferably cold water).

Follow these tips for that dreamy, glowing and healthy skin all year around.

Wedding Mandap Ideas for the Minimalist and Practical Bride-To-Be !

With the wedding season in India and attending so many weddings, I see that nowadays weddings are becoming really extravagant and over the top ! ( p.s. I wish there was a can't watch emoticon to express my feelings here)
I, personally feel that having such a large scale wedding, with never ending functions are seriously a waste of money. The same money can get you a nice month long honeymoon !!!

The Roha, Sangeet, Mehendi, Cocktail, Saghun, Ring Ceremony and then Finally comes the wedding day. Phewww !!! C'mon people that's really some unending events. Honestly speaking even the couple gets tired of all the fake smiling and posing around. And, after all this the guests at the wedding will find something to complain about.

So, I thought that why not list some Mandap decor options that will look great (Of course that is important) and save you some money as well.

This is a great traditional themed mandap, with the red and gold setup. Also, the huge flower pots and simplistic flower arrangement are just delightful.

I love this setup. It's just so refreshing and yet alluring. The use of yellow and bronze is an uncommon combination for a wedding mandap. Simple yellow and white flowers and a few dangling gold kalires, will definitely save you some bucks.

The uncomplicated pink and yellow canopies, and similar mandap setup with a simple floral arrangement can help you save quite a bit.

Wedding on the beach ? Yes please ! A wonderfully minimalist mandap, with hardly any floral arrangement. Also, the white seating for the guests around the mandap makes it look so elegant and will make your guests feel a part of the rituals as well.

For the ones who prefer an indoor wedding, this delicate yet stunning floral arrangement of Mogaras (Abrabian Jasmine) and Red Roses give it a romantic look. A peacefully white background and this floral mandap will surely not burn a big hole in your pocket !

(cc: Cathy and David Photographers)
Just veils of flowers and a fountain in the backdrop. This is definitely a very intimate setup for a mandap. Having a complete veil setup rather than only flower arrangement costs less.

(cc: Wedmegood)
Mandap made of Marigold, bangles and kalire. Stunning and cost effective. Hola !Everyone is happy !

Clean and alluring outdoor mandap in the garden. Uncomplicated use of different textiles and flowers. Easy as a pie :)

This one is just effortless ! Vanilla plain and still so divine. There is hardly any use extensive of textiles or flowers. Saves you a lot of mullas $$$
25 and something approves !

(cc: Andrew Milne Photography)
This is our top pick for minimalist as well as money saver mandap decor. Clean, plain, effortless and smooth. You can get this done yourselves, without any wedding planners. Just different shades of pleasing red, orange and coffee, with some floral arrangements here and there. And you are done !

P.S. We at 25 and something feel that outdoor weddings are a great budget option. Indoor venues are costlier and also decor costs are higher since they tend to be more grand. With outdoor venues you already have a great landscape and all you will need to pay for will be your mandap arrangements.

We would love to know what your thought of this post :) Kindly comment below and let us know what you liked the most.
