Wedding Mandap Ideas for the Minimalist and Practical Bride-To-Be !

With the wedding season in India and attending so many weddings, I see that nowadays weddings are becoming really extravagant and over the top ! ( p.s. I wish there was a can't watch emoticon to express my feelings here)
I, personally feel that having such a large scale wedding, with never ending functions are seriously a waste of money. The same money can get you a nice month long honeymoon !!!

The Roha, Sangeet, Mehendi, Cocktail, Saghun, Ring Ceremony and then Finally comes the wedding day. Phewww !!! C'mon people that's really some unending events. Honestly speaking even the couple gets tired of all the fake smiling and posing around. And, after all this the guests at the wedding will find something to complain about.

So, I thought that why not list some Mandap decor options that will look great (Of course that is important) and save you some money as well.

This is a great traditional themed mandap, with the red and gold setup. Also, the huge flower pots and simplistic flower arrangement are just delightful.

I love this setup. It's just so refreshing and yet alluring. The use of yellow and bronze is an uncommon combination for a wedding mandap. Simple yellow and white flowers and a few dangling gold kalires, will definitely save you some bucks.

The uncomplicated pink and yellow canopies, and similar mandap setup with a simple floral arrangement can help you save quite a bit.

Wedding on the beach ? Yes please ! A wonderfully minimalist mandap, with hardly any floral arrangement. Also, the white seating for the guests around the mandap makes it look so elegant and will make your guests feel a part of the rituals as well.

For the ones who prefer an indoor wedding, this delicate yet stunning floral arrangement of Mogaras (Abrabian Jasmine) and Red Roses give it a romantic look. A peacefully white background and this floral mandap will surely not burn a big hole in your pocket !

Just veils of flowers and a fountain in the backdrop. This is definitely a very intimate setup for a mandap. Having a complete veil setup rather than only flower arrangement costs less.

Mandap made of Marigold, bangles and kalire. Stunning and cost effective. Hola !Everyone is happy !

Clean and alluring outdoor mandap in the garden. Uncomplicated use of different textiles and flowers. Easy as a pie :)

This one is just effortless ! Vanilla plain and still so divine. There is hardly any use extensive of textiles or flowers. Saves you a lot of mullas $$$

This is our top pick for minimalist as well as money saver mandap decor. Clean, plain, effortless and smooth. You can get this done yourselves, without any wedding planners. Just different shades of pleasing red, orange and coffee, with some floral arrangements here and there. And you are done !

P.S. We at 25 and something feel that outdoor weddings are a great budget option. Indoor venues are costlier and also decor costs are higher since they tend to be more grand. With outdoor venues you already have a great landscape and all you will need to pay for will be your mandap arrangements.
